Who's behind this site

GV Freedom is founded and run by MJ Dawson, an entrepreneur based in Houston, Texas. MJ builds AI systems for small businesses and runs a 501(c)(3) family nonprofit — work that grew out of the same conviction that drives this site: families do better when they have real access to tools, knowledge, and opportunity.

MJ writes about personal finance from lived experience — building businesses, managing family finances, and learning the hard lessons along the way. He is not a licensed financial advisor, and this site never pretends otherwise: everything here is education, not personalized advice.

Why this site exists

Financial literacy shouldn't be gated behind expensive advisors or jargon-heavy publications. GV Freedom breaks down credit, budgeting, investing, taxes, loans, and business funding into plain-English guides anyone can act on. The mission is personal: the same drive behind MJ's family nonprofit — helping families build stability and opportunity — is the reason this site publishes free financial education for everyone.
